Just a quick post to show you what we’re making this month for our Stampin’ Class:

The middle two were CAS’ED from Inking Idaho and I think that the first and fourth were from ideas I saw on SplitcoastStampers.  I’m getting ready for a Holiday Bazaar on Thursday…e-mail me if you would like more info on where to find out where I’ll be!  I have three 20 gallon tubs and several Stampin’ Up! boxes full of things to sell!

I finally got around to creating my first tutorial!!  I’m going to show you how to make a Snowman Tic Tac Holder:

Cut a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock to 3 x 5 1/2 and score at 2 1/2 and at 3. Stamp with the image of your choice with Whisper White Craft Ink. (I used the retired set Cold Play).  Punch the corner with the small corner rounder.

You will also need a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 2 x 2 1/2.  Round two corners with the small corner rounder.

Stamp the Cold Play mouth and carrot images and punch them out with a 3/4 inch circle punch.

Take your 2 x 2 1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock and sponge the edges with Bashful Blue Classic Ink.  Punch out a one inch circle from Whisper White and sponge the edges with Bashful Blue.  Take the 3/4 inch face circle and sponge those edges with Bashful Blue as well.  Punch a 1 inch circle from the large piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Adhere the 1 inch and 3/4 inch circles.  I adhered the 3/4 inch circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Sponge the punched circle with Bashful Blue ink as well.

Use a small strip of Sticky Strip on the back of the Tic Tac container.

Adhere the Tic Tac container to the back panel of the holder.

Attach the Snowman Kisses poem to the top of the Tic Tac container.

Wrap 13 inches of Real Red Grosgrain 1/4 ribbon around the middle of the Bashful Blue cardstock and adhere with SNAIL adhesive.

Center the 2 x 2 1/2 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock on the Bashful Blue cardstock and adhere with SNAIL.  Use the Basic Brown Stampin’ Write Marker to draw stick arms on the snowman and tie shut with the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

I can’t believe it’s almost 1/2 way through August!  Christmas will be here before you know it, so I spent the last few weeks of my summer vacation getting ready for my school’s Holiday Bazaar.  I’ve made several post-it note holders, cards, boxes, tags, wreaths and bows to get ready!   Here are a few things I’ve made as well:

Post it  Note Holder (tutorial from Dawn Griffith’s blog)

I made 2 in each of these colors: Only Orange, Melon Mambo, Yo-yo Yellow, Green Galore, and Lovely Lilac.  I tried to match the post-it note color to the out side color whenever I was able.  I used the retired Garden Greetings set. I also used Whisper White cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bluebird, and Certainly Celery ribbons.  The gel pens are from the dollar spot at Target.

I made this 4×4 card using Fun and Fast Notes.  It was a really quick card (10 min.) and the hardest part was choosing the colors to use on the Christmas Tree:

The tree is popped up with dimensionals.  I used Old Olive, Merry Moments DSP, Very Vanilla, Whisper White and Rose Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Not Quite Navy Inks and a blender pen to color the tree.  I also used Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon. (Images copyright Stampin’ Up!)

I also used my new Bigz Two Tags die from SU!  I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and just now got around to using it…I will sell these at the Bazaar as well.  I used retired Wild Wasabi ribbon for the bow.

This is the second of the two tags.

I used Chocolate Chip, Real Red cardstocks and White Craft Ink with the Sweet Seasons Stamp Set and the Large Oval and Scallop Circle Punches.

Today during our Stampin’ Club, we decided that we would like to do more “projects” and so we came up with a plan about what we would like to do to get ready for the Holidays.  This wreath is the first of our projects (along with the pumpkin a few posts back).  I got the idea from the IBC page 92 and just got the leaves #2 die on Friday.  I was dying to make this and so off to Michael’s I went in search of the styrofoam wreath frame.  It was really tough to photograph, so I’m sorry about the pictures! I think I took about 50 of them trying to get the color right!

I used the Ghostly Greetings DSP that was in the Fall/Winter 2008 catalog.  I was the only Autumn themed paper I had around to experiment with.  I used 10 of the 12 sheets and had PLENTY of leaves leftover–I could probably do another 1/2 of a wreath with what I still have.  All I used were straight pins/dressmakers pins to hold the leaves in place.  Let me know if you have any questions!
