Quick gift idea

Here is a quick and easy gift idea. I got these 24 page photo albums for $1 each at my local big box store. I took out the front and back card stock design that was there and using some Big Top DSP, I made new covers. I used the Big Shot Serif Essentials die to create the “j” monogram. We will give these as gifts for Christmas to all of my son’s grandparents and aunts and uncles.

These were really quick and easy and inexpensive too!

New Spring Cards

Hi Everyone!

I’m on Spring Break and have finally had some time to use some of my newer materials!  I’ve been surfing the internet for some cute ideas and have come up with several  “case-d” ideas!  The Forest Friends Box is from my upline Angie (aka Chic n’ Scratch) and the rest came from “De Stampin’ Corner”…changed just a little.  Enjoy!

Got to go…I’ll come back later and update with a materials list…dinner calls! 🙂  Happy Spring Break!

November Class Projects

Just a quick post to show you what we’re making this month for our Stampin’ Class:

(I’ll come back later and  post details…but everything is Stampin’ Up!)

The middle two were CAS’ED from Inking Idaho and I think that the first and fourth were from ideas I saw on SplitcoastStampers.  I’m getting ready for a Holiday Bazaar on Thursday…e-mail me if you would like more info on where to find out where I’ll be!  I have three 20 gallon tubs and several Stampin’ Up! boxes full of things to sell! 😉

Christmas Cubes

I made these Christmas Cubes today after receiving my new Holiday Mini goodies from the UPS man yesterday.  It is entirely Stampin’ Up! product.  Let me know if you would like to purchase the materials to make them yourself or I can make them for you!

Getting Ready for Christmas

I can’t believe it’s almost 1/2 way through August!  Christmas will be here before you know it, so I spent the last few weeks of my summer vacation getting ready for my school’s Holiday Bazaar.  I’ve made several post-it note holders, cards, boxes, tags, wreaths and bows to get ready! 🙂  Here are a few things I’ve made as well:

Post it  Note Holder (tutorial from Dawn Griffith’s blog)

I made 2 in each of these colors: Only Orange, Melon Mambo, Yo-yo Yellow, Green Galore, and Lovely Lilac.  I tried to match the post-it note color to the out side color whenever I was able.  I used the retired Garden Greetings set. I also used Whisper White cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bluebird, and Certainly Celery ribbons.  The gel pens are from the dollar spot at Target.

I made this 4×4 card using Fun and Fast Notes.  It was a really quick card (10 min.) and the hardest part was choosing the colors to use on the Christmas Tree:

The tree is popped up with dimensionals.  I used Old Olive, Merry Moments DSP, Very Vanilla, Whisper White and Rose Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Not Quite Navy Inks and a blender pen to color the tree.  I also used Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon. (Images copyright Stampin’ Up!)

I also used my new Bigz Two Tags die from SU!  I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and just now got around to using it…I will sell these at the Bazaar as well.  I used retired Wild Wasabi ribbon for the bow.

This is the second of the two tags.

I used Chocolate Chip, Real Red cardstocks and White Craft Ink with the Sweet Seasons Stamp Set and the Large Oval and Scallop Circle Punches.

Future Projects

Here are some other things we will be working on soon! 🙂  Both these ideas came from Becky’s site Inking Idaho (see two posts ago about downloading the template)

This one uses the Christmas Punch Hostess (Level 2) set from the new catty!

This one uses retired DSP (Ski Slope) from the Fall/Winter 2008 catalog–just using up my stash! 🙂

Gift Card Holder

I was playing around with designs for my Pocket Card class and wanted to make a gift card holder of sorts.  I made one that I did not like at all and then I spotted a card holder that I had received a gift card in from Borders.  I traced the holder and then made my own template and decorated…here’s how it turned out:

Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Tart DSP, Melon Mambo Ribbon, Whisper White, Slit Punch

Valentine’s Box

I came across this AWESOME tutorial on Becky’s blog yesterday and had to download the pattern to make one of these boxes myself!  I took a modern approach with it; mostly because I haven’t received my new DSP yet (it arrives tomorrow) and because I wanted to use up some of my left over DSP.  Becky’s tutorial was so easy to follow and the pictures she provided were VERY helpful.  I think it took me about 2 hours to complete this box and cards; but it was so FUN!  Here is the link to Becky’s site:

Everything I used is retired, except for the Black Grosgrain Ribbon , the All Holidays stamp set, and the Kraft Cardstock.   Enjoy and check out Becky’s blog!

Post it Note Holder and a Pumpkin…

So since, I’m sitting here bored out of my mind and almost finished with laundry, I decided to make some Post It Note holders inspired by Angie! 🙂

I found this pumpkin at Dawn’s Stampin’ Thoughts and decided to make several for later in the year when I do my Holiday Bazaar! 🙂

I also made this Monarch Butterfly Pin, after seeing one on Amy Celona’s page.  Mine is far from done yet…I’m waiting for my Pretties’ Kit to arrive by UPS man so that I can finish his body and attach the pin to the back:
