Future Projects

Here are some other things we will be working on soon! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Both these ideas came from Becky’s site Inking Idaho (see two posts ago about downloading the template)

This one uses the Christmas Punch Hostess (Level 2) set from the new catty!

This one uses retired DSP (Ski Slope) from the Fall/Winter 2008 catalog–just using up my stash! ๐Ÿ™‚

My Dear Kind and Wonderful Friend

This card is CASE’d from the newly retired Idea Book and Catalog.ย  I took the idea almost entirely out of the catalog.

Valentine’s Box

I came across this AWESOME tutorial on Becky’s blog yesterday and had to download the pattern to make one of these boxes myself!ย  I took a modern approach with it; mostly because I haven’t received my new DSP yet (it arrives tomorrow) and because I wanted to use up some of my left over DSP.ย  Becky’s tutorial was so easy to follow and the pictures she provided were VERY helpful.ย  I think it took me about 2 hours to complete this box and cards; but it was so FUN!ย  Here is the link to Becky’s site:

Everything I used is retired, except for the Black Grosgrain Ribbon , the All Holidays stamp set, and the Kraft Cardstock.ย ย  Enjoy and check out Becky’s blog!

Quilted Cards

Here are two cards I made after seeing lots of them on Splitcoast.ย  I used the SAB paper on the more masculine one and Raspberry Tart DSP on the second one:

Club Cards for April

These are two of the cards I think we will be making for our Stampin’ Club in April (the 18th!!).ย  I’m not sure yet if these are it, so stay tuned…

This one I CASE’d from Michele Force, almost exactly! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I just loved the colors and only make a few small changes.

Stamps: Big Bold Birthday (Make a Wish), Simple Birthday Thanks (the large cupcake stamp)

Cardstock: Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Real Red

Ink: Basic Black, Brilliant Blue

Other: MM eyelets, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2 Way Glue, Crop-A-Dile, Dimensionals, Paper Crimper, Real Red 1/4 inch grosgrain ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Linen Thread

This is the 2nd card—I’m really not sure about this one yet…

This one may wind up on the back burner until closer to fall and if the set makes it into the Fall/Winter Catalog ๐Ÿ™‚

Stamps: Trendy Trees

Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa

Other: 1/4 Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, bone folder (for scoring), dimensionals

I’m off to finish cutting more paper for some other cards we will be making! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  TFL!

3 Tiered Cake Card

I just got my new 3-D Tiered Cake Die delivered Friday, and thought I would make a cake! ๐Ÿ™‚

I used Pacific Point Cardstock for the inside and Good Morning Sunshie DSP for the “icing” on the sides.ย  Kiwi Kiss Ribbon finished it off.ย  This is my third attempt at making a cake, when the directions say to use card stock–use cardstock!! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  After making two other cakes, one entirely out of DSP and one entirely out of cardstock, and this one a mix of the two, this one looks the best and folded the best.ย  So, the moral is, use cardstock for the inside and DSP for the decoration.ย  Also, another tip is to pull up just a little on the tab in the middle when you unfold it–it helps to get everything straightened out again.ย  Make sure you use sticky strip!

This looks overwhelming to make, but actually after making 3, it becomes quite fast and you can put all the sticky strip on at once and peel it off as needed.ย  The only problem I had was when the die cut the paper, in some places it would cut instead of score and I did have to use small pieces of scotch tape to make sure everything would hold together, but you can’t see it from the outside!! ๐Ÿ™‚
