Hair Bows

I really liked making cards yesterday with old soda cans but had been wanting to play with the massive amounts of ribbon I have collected (I’m addicted to Stampin’ Up!’s ribbon).  I thought making girls hair bows would help me to put lots of ribbon together at one time.  So here you have it, this is what I’ve cranked out in the last 1/2 hour.  Everything is Stampin’ Up!  except for the hair clips (you can get those at your local big box store).  I’m thinking about holding a bow making class –anyone interested?

I’ll be posting these for sale in my etsy store later this week. (fuzzlady77)

New Mini Goodies

I just love these new clear mount stamps (they are NOT the clear type stamps that other companies sell).  Same old SU! rubber, mounted on a clear block for easy positioning! 🙂  They are fabulous! I’m going to be building up my collection of clear mounts rather quickly!

I also can’t stop ooohing and ahhhing over the new punch style!  Today was the first day I’ve used them, and the corner and edge punches are so easy to line up and make things look beautiful!

Here are some of the cards we will be making at my next class in February.  I’ll give credit under each where due.

I Case’d this cute treat holder from Patti.  She’s got a picture tutorial on her site you will want to check out! 🙂

This card is pretty much straight from the Mini.  I loved the Eggcoutrements set and the way this card was laid out.  I changed it just a bit to make it easier to duplicate for my class.

I saw a card similar to this one in the Mini as well.  It was made with the “hugs” cards that are available (forgot to order them!!), so I improvised with the new Scallop Corner Punch and Scallop Edge Punch.  I also used the new extra large Bird and Leaf punch (new favorite!!) and the Vintage Labels Clear Mount set (you can get it free with a $50 purchase thanks to Sale-A-Bration!).

These next two are case’d from Shelli Gardner.  She showed them at the Leadership conference (I’ll get there one day!) and I wanted to make them so that you knew that from now until Feburary 28th, SU! will donate $2 from every I {heart} Hearts set purchased to the Haiti Relief Efforts.  You can click here to order.

Hope you enjoy them!  Contact me or click here to order your supplies or to receive a Mini Catalog of your own!

The middle two were CAS’ED from Inking Idaho and I think that the first and fourth were from ideas I saw on SplitcoastStampers.  I’m getting ready for a Holiday Bazaar on Thursday…e-mail me if you would like more info on where to find out where I’ll be!  I have three 20 gallon tubs and several Stampin’ Up! boxes full of things to sell! 😉

Snowman Tic-Tac Tutorial

I finally got around to creating my first tutorial!!  I’m going to show you how to make a Snowman Tic Tac Holder:

DSC00114

Cut a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock to 3 x 5 1/2 and score at 2 1/2 and at 3. Stamp with the image of your choice with Whisper White Craft Ink. (I used the retired set Cold Play).  Punch the corner with the small corner rounder.

DSC00115

You will also need a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 2 x 2 1/2.  Round two corners with the small corner rounder.

DSC00116

Stamp the Cold Play mouth and carrot images and punch them out with a 3/4 inch circle punch.

DSC00117

Take your 2 x 2 1/2 piece of Whisper White card stock and sponge the edges with Bashful Blue Classic Ink.  Punch out a one inch circle from Whisper White and sponge the edges with Bashful Blue.  Take the 3/4 inch face circle and sponge those edges with Bashful Blue as well.  Punch a 1 inch circle from the large piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Adhere the 1 inch and 3/4 inch circles.  I adhered the 3/4 inch circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Sponge the punched circle with Bashful Blue ink as well.

DSC00118

Use a small strip of Sticky Strip on the back of the Tic Tac container.

DSC00119

Adhere the Tic Tac container to the back panel of the holder.

DSC00120

Attach the Snowman Kisses poem to the top of the Tic Tac container.

DSC00121

Wrap 13 inches of Real Red Grosgrain 1/4 ribbon around the middle of the Bashful Blue cardstock and adhere with SNAIL adhesive.

DSC00126

Center the 2 x 2 1/2 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock on the Bashful Blue cardstock and adhere with SNAIL.  Use the Basic Brown Stampin’ Write Marker to draw stick arms on the snowman and tie shut with the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

Christmas Cubes

I made these Christmas Cubes today after receiving my new Holiday Mini goodies from the UPS man yesterday.  It is entirely Stampin’ Up! product.  Let me know if you would like to purchase the materials to make them yourself or I can make them for you!

Getting Ready for Christmas

I can’t believe it’s almost 1/2 way through August!  Christmas will be here before you know it, so I spent the last few weeks of my summer vacation getting ready for my school’s Holiday Bazaar.  I’ve made several post-it note holders, cards, boxes, tags, wreaths and bows to get ready! 🙂  Here are a few things I’ve made as well:

DSC00012

Post it  Note Holder (tutorial from Dawn Griffith’s blog)

DSC00003

I made 2 in each of these colors: Only Orange, Melon Mambo, Yo-yo Yellow, Green Galore, and Lovely Lilac.  I tried to match the post-it note color to the out side color whenever I was able.  I used the retired Garden Greetings set. I also used Whisper White cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bluebird, and Certainly Celery ribbons.  The gel pens are from the dollar spot at Target.

DSC00004

I made this 4×4 card using Fun and Fast Notes.  It was a really quick card (10 min.) and the hardest part was choosing the colors to use on the Christmas Tree:

DSC00001

The tree is popped up with dimensionals.  I used Old Olive, Merry Moments DSP, Very Vanilla, Whisper White and Rose Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Not Quite Navy Inks and a blender pen to color the tree.  I also used Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon. (Images copyright Stampin’ Up!)

DSC00010

I also used my new Bigz Two Tags die from SU!  I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and just now got around to using it…I will sell these at the Bazaar as well.  I used retired Wild Wasabi ribbon for the bow.

DSC00007

This is the second of the two tags.

I used Chocolate Chip, Real Red cardstocks and White Craft Ink with the Sweet Seasons Stamp Set and the Large Oval and Scallop Circle Punches.

July Club Cards

These are the cards we will be making this Saturday, July 11th (thanks everyone for correcting the date!).  Our theme this month is “Pocket Cards”, so all these cards have a pocket in some way shape or form.

All these cards use all Stampin’ Up! products and some of the new InColors (Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry).  I have to admit, when I first saw these three (of the six) in colors, I was drawn to them, because of how bright they are.  When I opened the box and saw the Crushed Curry–ugh!  It was not as pretty or bright as it looked in the catalog!  But…I’ve worked with it and paired it with some other existing colors and I think I may use it in small amounts at first and then work with it more later!  It will probably be a good Autumn/Fall color.  Andrea has been working with some color combinations as well.
