The Summer Mini is now LIVE!

The 2010 Summer Mini Catalog went live at midnight on May 1st, 2010.  I was able to pre-order some of the new materials in the catalog and had some time today to make a few cards.  These cards were all C’ased from the mini or the current issue of Stampin’ Success (the magazine demonstrators receive monthly).  You can order the new items at my Stampin’ Up! website anytime! 🙂

The next two cards are from the Stampin’ Success Magazine (I changed the colors a bit to reflect what I had…the ones in the magazine were made using the new In colors and I just cannot bring myself to use the samples I have…just yet anyway!)

This is the most over the top card I think I’ve ever made…7 layers!  I think it would also look very pretty in Rich Razzleberry/Chocolate Chip or Rich Razzleberry/Soft Suede or even Rich Razzleberry/Old Olive…I could go on and on!

November Class Projects

Just a quick post to show you what we’re making this month for our Stampin’ Class:

(I’ll come back later and  post details…but everything is Stampin’ Up!)

The middle two were CAS’ED from Inking Idaho and I think that the first and fourth were from ideas I saw on SplitcoastStampers.  I’m getting ready for a Holiday Bazaar on Thursday…e-mail me if you would like more info on where to find out where I’ll be!  I have three 20 gallon tubs and several Stampin’ Up! boxes full of things to sell! 😉

Getting Ready for Christmas

I can’t believe it’s almost 1/2 way through August!  Christmas will be here before you know it, so I spent the last few weeks of my summer vacation getting ready for my school’s Holiday Bazaar.  I’ve made several post-it note holders, cards, boxes, tags, wreaths and bows to get ready! 🙂  Here are a few things I’ve made as well:

Post it  Note Holder (tutorial from Dawn Griffith’s blog)

I made 2 in each of these colors: Only Orange, Melon Mambo, Yo-yo Yellow, Green Galore, and Lovely Lilac.  I tried to match the post-it note color to the out side color whenever I was able.  I used the retired Garden Greetings set. I also used Whisper White cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bluebird, and Certainly Celery ribbons.  The gel pens are from the dollar spot at Target.

I made this 4×4 card using Fun and Fast Notes.  It was a really quick card (10 min.) and the hardest part was choosing the colors to use on the Christmas Tree:

The tree is popped up with dimensionals.  I used Old Olive, Merry Moments DSP, Very Vanilla, Whisper White and Rose Red, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Not Quite Navy Inks and a blender pen to color the tree.  I also used Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon. (Images copyright Stampin’ Up!)

I also used my new Bigz Two Tags die from SU!  I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and just now got around to using it…I will sell these at the Bazaar as well.  I used retired Wild Wasabi ribbon for the bow.

I used Chocolate Chip, Real Red cardstocks and White Craft Ink with the Sweet Seasons Stamp Set and the Large Oval and Scallop Circle Punches.

July Club Cards

These are the cards we will be making this Saturday, July 11th (thanks everyone for correcting the date!).  Our theme this month is “Pocket Cards”, so all these cards have a pocket in some way shape or form.

All these cards use all Stampin’ Up! products and some of the new InColors (Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry).  I have to admit, when I first saw these three (of the six) in colors, I was drawn to them, because of how bright they are.  When I opened the box and saw the Crushed Curry–ugh!  It was not as pretty or bright as it looked in the catalog!  But…I’ve worked with it and paired it with some other existing colors and I think I may use it in small amounts at first and then work with it more later!  It will probably be a good Autumn/Fall color.  Andrea has been working with some color combinations as well.

Jake’s 5th Birthday Invitations

I just finished making Jake’s 5th brithday invitations and my sister’s Baby Shower invitations are ready for the mail on Monday.  I planned to do this earlier this week, but since we ended up having our school re-opened early, I had to wait until the weekend! 🙂

He loves dinosaurs!! :

All Supplies are SU! except for the texture plate and the cardstock that the folded card is made from–it was just some extra from the huge stash my aunt gave me and was close enough to Kraft (which I ran out of!).  The texture plate was a Cuttlebug plate that I got from Michael’s a few months ago.  I made the dinosaur and palm tree from all my SU! punches–kind of running through steps for my class on Saturday! 🙂

Punch Class

Here are some of the things we will be making at my next Stampin’ Club.  I’ve been collecting ideas from all over the web and this is what I’ve made so far:

Club Cards for April

These are two of the cards I think we will be making for our Stampin’ Club in April (the 18th!!).  I’m not sure yet if these are it, so stay tuned…

This one I CASE’d from Michele Force, almost exactly! 🙂  I just loved the colors and only make a few small changes.

Supplies:

This is the 2nd card—I’m really not sure about this one yet…

This one may wind up on the back burner until closer to fall and if the set makes it into the Fall/Winter Catalog 🙂

The Tax Man Cometh…

I love tax time–how many people can say that?!?!  I love the refund that I get from him!  Oh, the benefits of having a child! 🙂

He brought me enough money to buy myself a new Bind-It-All Machine—pink, isn’t it a beauty??

So naturally, I had to make something with it! 🙂

I used the Old Olive DSP, Pretty In Pink for the scallop, Whisper White for the circle, and the flower stamp is from Happy Heart Day.  I also used Pretty In Pink 1/2 inch striped grosgrain ribbon, Wild Wasabi 1/2 inch striped grosgrain ribbon (retired), Chocolate Chip 1/4 inch Grosgrain Ribbon, Pretty In Pink 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon, Old Olive Poly Twill Ribbon (retired) and Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and Stampin’ Dimensionals and my Sakura Gelly Roll Clear Star Pen, and white 1/2 inch “O” wires, the Bind-It-All Machine (zutter), coasters

The coasters came from the Target Dollar Spot last summer–they had round and square ones and they are the perfect size for this type of project! 🙂

Two New Club Cards

Here are two of the cards we will be making for my March 14th Stampin’ Club–it’s not to late to sign up and join us!! 🙂

This is a nice and simple card–lots of layers make it look difficult! 🙂  I case’d it off of Michele Force’s blog and just changed the colors up a bit to reflect spring!
